Note the presence of bacterial colonies grown from a urine specimen taken for a differential diagnostic test for gonorrhea.

A urine specimen is observed 24 - 48hrs in a lab for the presence of any bacterial growth. Even without symptoms, the presence of at least 100,000 colonies of any single type of bacterium per/ml of urine, usually shows evidence of infection.
